Meet Shawn
Shawn Klotz brings nearly 30 years of expertise to the world of horse racing, transitioning from horse ownership to a distinguished 12-year career as a Jockey Agent. During this period, he cultivated invaluable relationships and developed a keen eye for identifying top-tier jockeys. Shawn represented riders across prominent circuits, including NYRA, Monmouth Park, and Tampa Bay Downs, and played a pivotal role in guiding them to significant victories. His notable achievements include a seven-year collaboration with a rider who achieved a second-place finish for Top Apprentice in the country in 2017, alongside multiple rider titles and graded stakes wins.
Driven by a passion for the sport and a desire to return to stable management, Shawn founded G.O.A.T. Racing Stable. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his goal to achieve a high winning percentage and deliver the unparalleled thrill of victory to all partners. Outside of racing, Shawn is a dedicated husband and father to three boys who share his enthusiasm for both racing and sports.
Meet Robert
Robert Falcone Jr. was born with racing in his blood, it was his love of horses and passion for racing that led him to the track where he learned to gallop and worked under trainer Dominick Schettino in high school before going out on his own at the age of 20. He made his start at Belmont Park with a few horses owned by his father Robert Falcone Sr. and has continued to grow his stable with a great group of clients.
Since he took out his trainer's license in 2014, Falcone has maintained a highly competitive stable on the East Coast circuit with strings at Belmont, Saratoga, Monmouth Park, Keeneland,Fairgrounds, and Gulfstream during their respective meets. Falcone takes great pride in the horses under his care and has proven to be a top conditioner. His hands-on approach combined with his knowledge of the racing industry has contributed to his success thus far.
Falcone became a multiple graded stakes winner in 2016 with Mind Your Biscuits in the (Gr. 2) Amsterdam Stakes at Saratoga. Mind Your Biscuits then went on to place an impressive second in the (Gr. 1) TwinSpires Breeders' Cup Sprint. At next asking, Falcone captured his first (Gr. 1) win when Mind Your Biscuits won the Malibu Stakes at Santa Anita Park. Other notable wins include the Woodford Reserve Virginia Oaks, Miss Liberty Stakes, Albert M. Stall Memorial Stakes, Plenty of Grace Stakes with Spirit And Glory (IRE), and the Broadway Stakes (Black Type) with Kept Waiting. Falcone's stable has 1,345 starts, hitting the board 600 times including 221 first-place finishes and earning cumulative purse money exceeding $10.6 million as of June 2024.
Meet Wayne
Wayne A. Potts, born in Maryland on December 23, 1980, began his horse training career in 2004. Notably, he was the leading trainer at Monmouth Park in 2021. Wayne made his mark on the major circuit in NYRA in 2014 and achieved a significant milestone by winning the Troy Stakes with American Sailor in 2020 for owners Raj and Vedhya Jagnanan at Saratoga Race Course. He also secured a black-type stakes victory with Formal Summation at Timonium. In addition to his success at Saratoga and Timonium, Potts won the meet at Timonium in 2018. To date, he has saddled 4,522 horses, achieving a win rate of 23% and accumulating earnings of $14,359,337. His extensive experience includes racing at prominent tracks such as Laurel Park, Charles Town, NYRA, Oaklawn Park, Monmouth Park, Kentucky, Parx, Penn National, Tampa Bay Downs, Gulfstream Park, and Colonial Downs.
Meet Ben
Growing up in Ohio, Ben Trask developed a deep-rooted passion for horses early on, competing in local shows alongside his sister. His journey into the world of racing began when his aunt and uncle, who owned a few racehorses, invited him to the track. From that moment, he was captivated by the sport.
Ben soon found himself working on a farm, honing his skills by breaking young horses and performing farm duties after school. His dedication paid off before he even graduated high school, as he saddled his first winner at Mountaineer.
To further his expertise, Ben trained for several years before joining renowned trainer Wayne Catalano for two years at Churchill Downs and Fairgrounds. His career took another significant step forward in New Orleans, where he met Mike Stidham. Under Stidham's guidance, Ben managed operations for a large stable across multiple locations, solidifying his reputation as a skilled and dedicated horseman in the racing industry.
Meet Jamie
Born in 1987 in King City, ON, Canada, Jamie Begg grew up a competent horseman in many disciplines, including polo. Third generation horseman, he got his start in the Thoroughbred industry in the breeding and sales side of the business. A graduate of the prestigious Irish National Stud breeding course, he is the breeder of multiple stakes horses and was previously the owner of Kingstead Stables, a full service Thoroughbred farm and bloodstock operation. He left that side of the industry to focus on a career in training. He honed his skills under the the tutelage of Hall of Fame racehorse trainers Roger Attfield and Mark Casse.
In the 6 years working under Casse, he ran strings in Kentucky, Florida, and New York as an assistant trainer. He was personally responsible for the day to day training of notable G1 winners, including Sovereign Horse of the Year Catch a Glimpse, Belmont Stakes winner Sir Winston, track record-setting Got Stormy and Perfect Alibi. Now, he has has started his own Thoroughbred training operation.
